The chances are, you have never heard of DJ Khaled, SailGP’s latest good idea to drive eyeballs and reach new audiences to its upcoming events in the States. The sad thing is, I have, through dint of having a teenager in the house and let’s just say, he’s not exactly ‘cool’ or whatever the kids say these days.

In fact, the super-producer (of urban rap music) is seen somewhat as a joke. A social media influencer with a following on Instagram of about 38.9 million worldwide who clowns around courtesy of an eye-watering multi-million dollar contract with Nike, promoting a West Coast lifestyle of Maybachs, Private Jets, unbelievably expensive watches, excess all areas, and hanging out with rap stars that have attracted the most shocking of headlines (albeit disproved) after the Sean Combs (P Diddy - yes him) indictment.
