The Kiwis are back and looking lean, mean and very much in business...
Cast your mind back to the last America’s Cup, and it was all a bit of a race to get launched. The teams had been faffing around in the AC40s which is all well and good as a muscle-memory sighter and reaction trainer, but every sailor knows that the real action is in the AC75s. The Kiwis don’t like losing at anything - and trust me that can be the walk to the pub (although you’ll be buying the drinks) - and the race to launch the version 2.0 back in early 2024 was real.
