One of the great pleasures of the last few months has been to see Paul Cayard getting his just rewards and recognition after a phenomenal Star World Championship win in Croatia back in September.

That win was everything. It was everything and more, 37 years after his first victory and a whole host of near misses in between. Paul is the senior statesman of our sport, the finest ambassador we could wish for, and a damned fine sailor enjoying the warmest autumn of his career. I, for one, wish that he finally wins the Bacardi Cup this year - that would be the cherry on the top of a pretty incredible sailing cake.
