Everything is happening in Italy at the moment. Italian sailing is so on the up, and everywhere you go it’s the same story - beautiful food, perfect sailing conditions, terrific people and a coastline to die for. There’s just something so special about the place that it’s almost hard to quantify. I literally cannot wait to get back there in September for the next AC Preliminary Regatta, but in the meantime my head was turned by a text from Ado Stead just before he set sail on the offshore race last night of the Range Rover Sardinia Cup in conditions that could only be described as “fresh to frightening.”
