If you need a reason to subscribe to Classic Boat...this is it...
I arrived back to the UK from a momentous, historic time at the New York Yacht Club buoyed and pretty joyous about how our sport of sailing is evolving, to be greeted by a pile of the usual post and a very nice ‘wet gift’ from a subscriber who asked not to be named. Much appreciated, Christmas will be more jolly than usual. In amongst the pile was the January edition of Classic Boat magazine, and if you don’t subscribe please can I urge you to do so. You will not be disappointed, and it’s the perfect late Christmas present for all of us sailors regardless of self-definition. Funnily enough I’m not being paid to say that and I have never written for them, one of the few magazines in our sport that I haven’t, but it’s an extraordinary tome that month after month just delights.
