When Taylor Canfield sits down and reviews that final race in the SailGP Sydney regatta, the meeting will be a short one. How do you review absolute perfection? That’s what it was from start to end and the crew should quite rightly pat themselves on the back for a job done incredibly well. It’s huge for the US team, so often the whipping boys and catalysts for criticism, and it was lovely to see Mike Buckley getting praise, hugs and high-fives from his fellow team principals. It’s huge for the owners, huge for the sponsors, mega for the sailors and something to cheer for across the States from New York to San Francisco and everything in between.
