GB1 announces their team for Sardinia - and it's awesome.
When you hire a guy like Ian Walker as Chief Executive of an America’s Cup team, one thing you can guarantee is a huge dose of common sense and knowing Ian as I do, a relentless focus on data, performance and attitude. Hard guy to impress in sailing, but the new GB1 team have seemed more than focussed at their training camp in Cagliari and there’s good vibes emanating in pretty much everything they do. As Challenger of Record, and despite the air cover of collective responsibility under the ACP, it’s still a circus act to keep all the plates spinning and everyone motivated in the right way. On that front, the Brits are knocking it out of the park at the moment and it’s quite joyous to witness.
